Increase Website Ranking, Gain Traffic, Convert Visitors to Customers With Stand Out Advertising

Increase Ranking & Convert Visitors With Advertising That Stands Out

Gaining Traffic is Only Part of the Goal. You Need Advertising Messages That Sell Your Product and/or Service

Your website is a very cost effective method of reaching your potential customer. You go through your checklist: Your site is online, your products are listed, your sales staff is briefed, and your website has been search engine optimized. You have a plan for ongoing content updates, and are establishing external links to your site. You have a staffer writing a blog, you are sending press releases and articles out. Everything is in place. You are ready to increase your website ranking and gain traffic. But, wait. Something is missing.

Your Website is Your Most Cost Effective Advertising Media

Advertising. Your site is your billboard, your TV, your radio, your newspaper. Clear, articulate, compelling messages that make and offer and elicit response are necessary on your website. This is advertising. Make sure you don't miss the final step. Of course it is essential that your website is search engine optimized to increase your website's ranking. You've done the right thing. But, when you do gain traffic from this necessary step, you must be ready for them to come, seeking a solution to their problem, looking for an offer to act upon. Provide these things clearly and concisely.

You will essentially be following the same process, placing advertising on your own website that you would if you were placing a display or billboard ad. So we will explain here the process an individual goes through when seeing ads, and how it becomes important to them.

1. It has to catch their eye. It won't be read if they don't see it.
2. It has to have a compelling headline with a benefit or solution for them.
3. It has to draw the reader in to see what your ad is all about.
4. It has to communicate an offer or incentive so strong, that it calls them to and immediate action.
5. It has to set you apart from your competitor.
6. It has to meet a physical need while appealing to the reader emotionally.
7. They must seem themselves having their problem solved by what you have to offer them.

How Can I Get My Message Across to Convert My Visitors to Customers?

Provide Solutions for Your Visitors. Anticipate their Questions and Give Them Answers

As noted above this is your vehicle for getting your message to potential clients. The use of bold color and interesting graphics can catch the eye. For you message to be read, it has to draw the eye in. The headline needs to be compelling. Say something you anticipate your visitor needs to hear.

See your product or service as the answer to their problem. Like the game show Jeopardy, hear the statement and answer it with a question. Speak about benefits. Highlight features of your business that make your product or service better than your competitor.

Communicate with your visitor, offering information you already know they are seeking. How do you know what they are looking for? Exactly what all of your customers seek every day in a brick and mortar store like yours, or what they call you about daily. But these online customers can't touch, smell, or view the product from all angles. Use descriptive terms that appeal to their emotions. You must tell them how you will meet their physical requirements as well as their emotional ones.

For example: Imagine your business sells auto parts. You are open 7 days a week which is a feature of your business that your competitor doesn't share. Your headline take this feature and turn it into a benefit for the customer. "WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK" Now they know where they can go to get auto parts 7 days a week, meeting a physical need they have. "WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK --- BECAUSE YOUR AUTO PART NEEDS DON'T HAVE A DAY OFF" Now you have tapped into their emotional need. The customer thinks "They understand my situation and they have the solution". That is advertising. Problem solving. Meeting the customer's needs before they even know they have one. Let them see themselves helped by what you have to offer.
